Morning Davening
Praying in the holy Shteeble.

Yaakov Backman leads the Shachris Morning Service in the Shteeble, in Albany, NY The Minyan davens as Yaakov Backman leads. Meir Simon wraps his Tefilin on his hand (Left).
Rabbi Simon Prepares for the service, putting on his Teffilin shel yad. Nathen Rosenstein is the caretaker of the Shteeble and lives upstairs. He davens with us for all the prayers daily. He has been here for over 20 years.
Mr. Larry Rosenbaum, an area businessman, davens with us, and is getting used to putting on Teffilin. He is now starting a new cheese factory. The holy Torah lies on the Bima, a symbol of our traditions that has been passed down from Sinai.
Yaakov Backman, often serves as Gabbai, calling people to the Torah for an Aliyah. Mr. Larry Rosenbaum, holds the Torah high for all to see. He paticularly enjoys to do "Hagbah" - the lifting of the Torah scroll after reading.
