"The Shteeble"
Cong. Shomray Torah in Albany NY is our home, where we learn and daven
everyday.
|
|
 |
Cong. Shomray Torah is located at 463 New Scotland Avenue in
Albany NY. It is 2 blocks east of St Peters Hospital (at the corner of
Manning Blvd) and a few doors west of the Fire Station.
The Shul has Minyanim on Shabbos and Sundays, and at times special events
during the week. Being that our Yeshiva studies here, there is now also a
daily Shachris Minyan at 8am and Mincha Minyan in the afternoon.
It is a informal place to daven, and it offers a close-knit welcoming and warm
community. |
| The Shteeble in Winter. Though it may seem plain on the outside, it
is a very special place within. |

 |
| This is the inside of our holy Shteeble. It was taken at an
angle therefore the aron kodesh is not visible. Here we are in the morning,
preparing for davening. |
A break between classes. Yaakov is headed for the closet
under the Bima, where many special things are stored. Rabbi Simon and Shmuly
Andrusier seem to be discussing something. |

held. |

|
| These are two of the many bookshelves in the shteeble,
holding many, many sforim. These two bookshelves in particular are located
in the famous "shteeble corner." |
