Why Albany?

High Student Success Levels

BH after ten years of offering a quality Jewish and general studies Mesivta program, we see the results of our efforts and approach.

  • Our graduates have continued on to the finest yeshivas.
  • Our graduates include respected community leaders and Shluchim.
  • High success level: equaled or outperformed big-city Yeshiva peers.

Who

We are looking for select out of town Talmidim to enhance our program, which serves local community families.

  • Class size averages 5-10 boys, with some classes/subjects combined.

Individual Attention

Small classes allow personal attention maximizing each Talmid’s potential. We emphasize quality over quantity, with high standards for staff and students.

Out-of-Town Atmosphere

Our relaxed and nurturing upstate venue provides a less pressured environment, allowing room for growth and self -esteem. Rather than pressure to conform, we motivate students to love & enjoy learning and Yiddishkeit.

Community Interaction

Our students participate in interactive communal outreach projects, including :

  • Legacy Projects  & workshops with children and Senior Citizens
  • Torah and  Megillah reading in area shuls
  • Public speaking – delivering Dvar Torahs
  • One hour a week “Mishmar”  chavrusa with younger students

Relevance

Rather than abstract and academic, we teach Gemara, Halacha, and Chasidus with actual issues and practical applications.

Torah Times/ Newspaper

Students help develop the informative and entertaining weekly Torah Times, & Holiday Guide periodical, teaching desktop publishing skills.
