The Lake George Minyan
Pictures taken Thursday, Bais Elul, 5767 August 16 2007
Down Bloody Pond Road, behind The Magic Forest, off Route 9 near Lake George Village, a Minyan gathers twice daily in the summer months after Tisha B'Av until Labor Day. Anywhere from 10-15 to 75-100 people come together, depending on the day, depending on the time of season.
The Minyan Gabbi Mr. Arnold Abrams with Lubavitcher Rabbinical School students Efraim Rubin (L) and Ary Rendler (R) who promote the Minyan, share words of Torah, and raise Jewish awareness and Mitzvah performance throughout the region during the summer months.  The Lake George Minyan is a memorable prayer experience with Jews of all walks of life and various prayer traditions, different headcovering styles and perspectives, joining together under one big white tent in the gorgeous Adirondack outdoors.
A Torah Reading at the Lake George Minyan. All four have never met before coming up to the Torah in Lake George.
Books for study, The Minyan Pushka and some of Rabbi Yisroel Rubin's study pamphlet souvenirs. Discussing Minyan and Jewish Lake George activities after the last Minyan-goer left the Maariv evening service.
The congregation rises to say the Kedusha during the repetition of the Amidah. This is symbolic of the holiness brought about by the gathering of so many Jews in prayer during vacation season...

The Lake George Minyan is a community service project of Saratoga Chabad.
For more information on Minyan-times, location etc, please call 518-522-THRU.
