Saratoga Chabad's "Taste of Tradition" Booth at the High
Rock Farmer's Market on Wed July 23rd featured Israeli Salad
and Tehini in conjunction with the Cornell Cooperative
Extension, plus free samples of sweet-noodle-kugel.

YARTZEIT MINYAN AND COMMEMORATION
A minyan and commemoration will be held on July 21st, the 18th
of Tammuz commemorates the yarzteit of Morris Aronson a
long-time Saratogian and benefactor of Saratoga Chabad.

A CHALLAH AND
THE "THINK JEWISH" WEEKLY
Toward the end of each week, Rabbi Abba comes by to various
local offices, home and businesses with a Challah for Shabbat
and a booklet of "Think-Jewish" thoughts for the week. If you or
someone you know would appreciate a short Mitzvah visit, with
good cheer and Jewish flavor, or to get the weekly "Think
Jewish" publication by mail - give Rabbi Abba a call at 526-0773.

Commemorating the Yartzeit (Tammuz 29) of Rashi, the great
Biblical and Talmudic commentator, Rabbi Israel Rubin taught a
Rashi and Tosefos argument in Talmud Chullin, along with a
defense of Rashi's position and it's application in Pirkei Avot,
Ethics of our Fathers - a favorite summertime study. |
