Chassidic Melody Brunch
with Rabbi Israel Rubin & the "Kleine Klezmer" |
|
| On Sunday April 10th, Saratoga Chabad
hosted a Bagel Brunch together with the Schenectady
Chapter of Bnai Brith. Thanks to all who participated, making this an
enjoyable and memorable experience. Rabbi Israel Rubin
taught several
soulful Chassidic melodies known as "Niggunim" (including some
favorities of his father, the noted Chassid, Reb Moshe Rubin of Montreal) and their meaningful lessons
and background accompanied by the beautiful music of Kleine Klezmer, based
in Schenectady.
|
 |
| The Kleine
Klezmer Orchestra played Chassidic melodies which Rabbi Israel Rubin
explained. |
 |
 |
| Behind Rabbi Israel Rubin
is the portrait of the Alter Rebbe, the first Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur
Zalman of Liadi, a composer of ten Chassidic melodies and a prolific
exponent of Chassidic thought at the heart of the melodies. |
Some forty people from
Schenectady, Saratoga and even Shoshan NY, enjoyed the delicious brunch and
the beautiful music and the thoughts behind the melodies. |
 |
| "Song is the
Pen of the Soul" - Each melody has a message. |
