The University at Albany (SUNY)
operates a full-service Kosher Meal-Plan (Meat) in the Dutch Quad Cafeteria
during the Academic Year (closed for summer and all college breaks), which is also open to guests and community.
Full meals are served and you pay one price which includes everything. Dutch
Kosher asks that you call in ahead to RSVP at (518) 442-5978.
In
addition they operate the Dreidels Cafe (Dairy, non-Chalav-Yisrael) serving
bagels and shmears, personal pizzas and other goodies in the UAlbany Campus Center.
These
eateries are under the Kosher supervision of the Vaad HaKashruth of the
Capital District. The University at Albany (SUNY) is centrally located, just
off the 87-90 interchange at Exit 24, and right on Washington and Western
Aves which run through the heart of Albany.
For more information, see the
Shabbos House Website's
Kosher Page.
Albany's prior two Kosher Pizza places
(Kosher Pizza and Felafel on Washington Ave operated by Capital Chabad and
Goldberg's Cafe near Exit 23) have since closed. We look forward to new
Kosher establishments opening in the future.
